We call her Harlow - because she sure is a beauty queen.  We rescued her from an Amish puppy mill where she spent her life in a teeny, tiny crate, being forced to have litter after litter of puppies to make money for the millers.  Now that she's been sprung, she is learning how to be a real doggie.  The millers said she was 4 years old - but now that she's in rescue and getting good food and love - she sure seems younger than that.  She acts like a puppy!  Now, she is shy and quiet when she first meets people, but she's super loving and friendly once she knows you're not going to hurt her.  She is working on housetraining - and does great with potty pads so we have no doubt that she will catch on quickly.  She's very docile and needs a home with puppy mill survivor experience or with someone who has the patience to give Harlow time to get to know and love them.  Like all our puppy mill rescues, Harlow will not be placed in a home with small children.  Harlow is now groomed and did great at the groomer.  They even let her run around the salon while waiting for her foster mom to get her.  All the customers and groomers loved her!  She is a very special dog who needs a special person.  Please complete an application on our website, www.daawgs.org if you're the one Harlow's been waiting for!
